Known for his ability to draw out each student's authentic voice, Jon helps transform the application process into a compelling and cohesive narrative. His work is grounded in strong relationships, tailored planning, and steady, hands-on guidance from start to finish.

Experience

Jon serves as a College Counselor at a high-performing high school in Palo Alto, California. Prior to this, he spent six years at a respected college preparatory school in Claremont, CA.

He also brings an insider's perspective from his work as an Admissions Reader for the University of California, Los Angeles. Committed to staying at the forefront of an evolving admissions landscape, Jon regularly engages with admissions leaders, attends national conferences, and visits colleges and universities across the U.S. and abroad.

Education & Credentials

Jon holds a B.A. in Political Science from Azusa Pacific University, an M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Certificate in College Counseling from the University of California, San Diego.

Jon serves as a Board Delegate for the Western Association of College Admission Counseling (WACAC). He is a member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
