MEET DOUG ERICKSON

Doug Erickson has served students and families as a professional school counselor and educational consultant for over 18 years. Doug is excited to create strong working relationships with students and families looking for concise and effective college planning services.  Doug prides himself on his ability to keep students organized and focused while they work through an often daunting college planning process. He aims to bring a calm and confident point of view that allows students and parents to work collaboratively.  
 

In addition to his work with students at College Clarity, Doug  serves as the Director of College Consulting at a private high school in Orange County, CA.  He is currently a Comprehensive Review Reader for University of California, Irvine and has  previously served as the Director of Career & Internship Programs in a high school setting.  Doug regularly attends professional development seminars and visits colleges and universities throughout the country. He enjoys reading and writing about the latest research and trends in the college admissions process.
 

Doug holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University.  In addition, he holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling (PPS) and is a certified Career Direct consultant.
 

Doug is a member of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC), and the Western Association for College Admissions Counseling (WACAC).
